It's fight or   flight...

As we go through life and face certain situations that make us feel threatened or under attack, naturally our sympathetic nervous system kicks in and we move from the conscious part of our brain to the primitive part, triggering the fight or flight response. This provides our bodies with that burst of energy (adrenaline) it needs to either fight the threat or flee to safety.

Unfortunately, due to our modern, western way of living, we now tend to face stressful situations on a daily occurrence that aren’t really life-threatening but our bodies still react to them as if they were – think of the way you feel about sitting in a traffic jam, work pressures, family difficulties and the COVID pandemic!

Over the years, scientists and researchers have learned not only how and why these reactions occur in our mind, but have also gained insight into the long term effects of chronic stress on our physical and psychological health.

Over time, repeated activation of the stress response takes its toll on our bodies and research suggests that chronic stress contributes to high blood pressure, is associated with the formation of artery-clogging deposits and can cause brain changes.

My mission is to help as many people as I can, irrespective of their age or gender, to get back on track and naturally perform better in their lives, break down those barriers and limited mindset beliefs that have been engrained from past experiences and realise they are limitless.
